Hotel Reviews
"Hotel looks impressive but suspect some of the stars awarded are for facilities such as internet access. Too many little niggles over one weekend - taxi not booked, even though told it had been; instant coffee at breakfast; room not cleaned (although offer to clean it made at about 5.30pm, when we really wanted to rest and get ready for going out in the evening). There needs to be a lot more attention to detail."

"Generally very comfortable. Would have preferred a room with a bath. Room was clean and so was the shower ensuite. Breakfast good. Nice quite location."

Cumberland Hotel
The Cumberland Hotel is set back from the centre of Edinburgh close to the A8 the main road into the city. The hotel makes an ideal choice for anyone wanting to enjoy the best of Edinburgh and the surrounding area of Fife, St Andrews and Stirling. The hotel is strikingly elegant and dates back to Victorian times; thankfully the owners have managed to retain many of the original features. The hotel accommodation is inviting and comfortable and provides the perfect location for a relaxing break.
These rooms have 2 single beds and are normally larger than standard twin or double rooms. Most enjoy good views of the landscaped gardens and some boast superb views over the Pentland Hills.
